Instructor ResponsibilityInstructor responsibility.
People's LIVES are in our hands. Quite literally. We, as instructors, have a duty to hold OURSELVES to a higher standard. A VERY high standard. And we must hold ourselves accountable for every single piece of information we pass on. We have a duty to dig deeper into the why and to learn from true masters of the craft. We must CONSTANTLY challenge ourselves and improve. We can never, ever accept or give the answer "because I said so". We MUST treat our very own training as if ALL lives depend on it. We can never grow lax or complacent. When we speak or demonstrate, we are accepting the ultimate responsibility. Passing on sub-par skills can cost a human being their LIFE! ALWAYS keep learning and perfecting. Sweat the small stuff.
