In this Basic Handgun Introduction and Safety course, Certified Firearms Instructor Christie Bass introduces students to the basics of handgun safety, including how to safely clear (unload) a semi-automatic pistol. Christie will explain and demonstrate the seven basic handgun fundamentals for safe and accurate shooting. The class is rounded out by taking those basics, and putting them into practice both in the classroom and on the shooting range. This class will act as a building block as the student progresses to Intermediate Pistol or Concealed Carry.
Students will need:
Eye Protection
Ear Protection
Handgun (may be rented)
50 Rounds of Range Ammunition (may be purchased at the range)
Notebook
Pen/Pencil
Class will start PROMPTLY at 4pm, so please arrive a few minutes early to settle in and fill out forms.
Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age and must be legally eligible to be in the posession of a firearm under Michigan and Federal Law.
