Gain experience and become proficient when it comes to clearing common pistol malfunctions.
Learn their causes and how to immediately recognize and apply corrective action.
This course includes live-fire.
Students will learn to identify and clear:
Failure to feed
Failure to fire
Delayed ignition
Stove pipe/Failure to eject
Double feed
Required Equipment:
Handgun
One magazine
Dummy rounds (if you have them)
25 rounds of ammunition
Eye and ear protection
Notebook
Pen/pencil
Class will start PROMPTLY at 5:30pm, so please arrive a few minutes early to settle in and fill out waivers.
Students must be 18 years of age and must be legally eligible to be in the possession of a firearm under Michigan and Federal Law. Anyone 16-18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The range does have common caliber ammunition, eyes, and ears for sale if needed. Handgun rental cost varies based on the firearm the students choose. Students are responsible for $10 range fee to be paid in cash to the range at the start of class.
If you are unsure of laws regarding the transport of a firearm, please reach out to us. Improper transport of a pistol can lead to a 5 year felony. We'd be more than happy to walk you through the process of legal transport.
